Customer-strapping! Enterprise Innovation meets startup creativity.
It begins! I’m very pleased to see this happening.
There is such an obvious alignment between large business who have the reach with customers, cash and a desire for enterprise innovation and startups with great innovation, laser customer focus and desire for growth, but no fuel (cash!)
I see so many startups that finally achieve product-market fit and then start the hunt for funding to scale the business with little success — the famed Valley of Death. On the flip side, I work with established enterprise clients that are trying to solve the innovation dilemma — how to maintain a competitive position or drive new growth from new customers by trying to forge internal teams to solve this.
The solution is glaringly obvious.

Well done to Woolworths for announcing Wstart:
Woolworths have just launched their first ever startup program. We would love it if you could spread the word about this to your startup community or startups you work with and encourage those who have a business idea in at least development stage to apply.
Those who get short listed upon application will be given an opportunity to showcase their idea to the most senior executives at Woolworths in early December. They will also be provided with feedback, hints and tips and mentoring from both Woolworths execs and key industry experts.
Startups — Apply here. Details of the showcase event are also on this website.
